I'm tired of stripping drill bits made of crappy alloys. I'd like some that are made of quality material, but I don't have a fortune to spend on them. I don't need a ton of different bits; maybe just a few sizes of Phillips and standard drivers, and a few drill bits. What's a good product?
What are the shank diameters of MegaBore Drill Bits?
Does the MegaBore drill bit require a specially designed shaft for MegaBore bits?
I have a 1/4" diameter extension (4.5 feet), and I want to know if this bit will fit without any other special MegaBore extensions.

I got an email response from LSD. It looks like I will need to get a 7/16" Connecting-Hole MegaBore Shaft, which is 1/4" in diameter, and then connect the MegaBore Shaft to the regular 1/4" flex extension.
Email Response:
"Hello,
The 7/16” Hex, is the standard size for similar bits.
Thanks

I was trying to use an easy-out in a broke off bolt on my motorcycle and twisted off the easy-out also. What drill bit is hard enough to drill through the metal of the easy-out and where could I get this bit?
Today I had two cavities filled. While waiting, after I was given shots to numb my mouth, I noticed that two drill bits were sitting on the counter(not on paper or in case). This seemed odd to me, but I decided to not comment hoping that they would be sterilized before being used. When the dentist came in she grabbed one with her bare hands(hadn't put her gloves on yet) and put it in the drill. It looked like she had touched the part that actually comes in contact with your tooth. This bothered me, but I felt awkward causing trouble over it when I didn't know for sure it was an issue(I also have some social anxiety). She seemed to use other bits too, but they came from a plastic case.
Am I right in thinking that she shouldn't be handling them with her bare fingers?
Is it likely I could catch anything from that(Assuming and hoping no)?
I'm scheduled for another visit on Thursday. This is a new dentist for me. I went to her cause I had left my old dentist and my insurance is running out at the end of the month. I still need some more fillings, so would be too late to change dentists again.

I decided to take apart my old hard drive after it crapped out on me just for the fun of it (don't worry, everything was backed up and is now on my new hard drive). Instead of using a torx screwdriver, I decided to use a cordless drill. I used the drill on every screw. There was shavings and dust everywhere, I also pried some stuff apart. The thing is, after telling my buddy about it, he told me that there is lead and mercury (and other harmful stuff in hard drives). Should I be worried? I did inhale a bit, and I think I got some shavings in my eyes but I figured it was no big deal (I used to take shop in high school and I inhaled and got stuff in my eyes all the time while I was grinding, cutting, etc).
This was also a Maxtor seagate from 2006.
Also, can anyone tell me what parts of a hard drive might have harmful substances?
Thanks everyone.
I think my buddy meant computers in general when it came to harmful substances also.
WTH!!
Why did the porsche engineers use alien wrench screws for the head of the engine. The last screw that i have stripped and am wondering is there any drill bit out there that wont go dull the second it touches this strong piece of German steel.
Esay out screw extractor does not work. If a drill bit can drill the screw how would a screw extractor do the job?
I want to hang curtains at double french doors. I have drilled a little hole with a masonary bit but it won't go in the wall very far. Sounds like i'm hitting metal so i suspect there is a lintle over the doors. If i drill through the lintle with metal drill bits will it weaken the lintle. It is only one little hole, at the other side i seem to be able to manage with a masonary bit.
I want to order from USA but don't know if product will be compatible with Israeli electricity standard which is 220V 50Hz. I know i will need plug adapter but will i need transformer?
