Hi,

I've got a Bosch PSR 1200 drill. I was given this and it has no instructions.

Can someone please tell me how I widen the place where I insert the drill bit (it has 3 gears in it, I believe it may be called the 'chuck'?) and then tighten it again around the drill bit please?

Thanks in advance,

Hal.

Need to do some work around the house and need to drill into wood, bricks, and maybe tiles. I have a regular electric drill (no hammer mode). The old HSS drill bits set are dull. So I am in the market looking for a set of good value and good quality multi use drill bits set.

So far I have seen on the web - Bosch multi-construction set, and Artu muti use set.

Anyone has experiences in using these drill bits? Or if you have used other brands?

Note that my electric drill has no hammer mode.

Which drill..again, lol?

DEWALT 18-Volt Variable Speed Cordless Drill
or
Bosch 18-Volt Variable Speed Cordless Drill
Ughhhh
I have no preference because this is my first power tool. I have heard great reviews about both, just don't know which one to chose.

What kind of drill do I need to easily drill holes into the cement sub-floor of my house (for a flooring project)? I've already tried two different types of masonry bits with my cordless, 18 volt Bosch (model 3850). I'm thinking that the bit isn't the problem, it's the drill. It takes about 10 minutes and a way too much effort just to drill one hole. Any suggestions?

I am trying to find a very powerful cordless mini drill, preferably the size of a glue gun. Under 0. Doesn't any one have any links or ideas?
Bosch Looks like they make some good ones.

My cordless drill Bosch 12V comes with two batteries so I can be recharging one while you use the other. But actually both of them do not hold a charge between uses. I know that many people who have cordless drills buy new batteries and it cost them about - each. But I've also been thinking about rebuilding both batteries for each. Or I may just throw my cordless drill away and find a new cordless drill for sale. I may buy a new 14V.
What do you think?

I'm looking for a small electric screwdriver (cordless). It MUST HAVE the following feature: operates by pushing down on the screwdriver (not by pushing buttons). I want a small and straight one b/c I need it for tight areas (the Bosch lithium battery ones are still too big b/c they're not straight).
The smallest one I have is a 6v Black & Decker which can be straight or 90deg. but it is still too big - even if I make it straight.

I do not have enough money to be upgrading from decent quality tools to great quality tools, so this is why I'am trying to find some of the best tools out their..I'am going to be starting woodworking classes and want some good quality tools are these very good or not?
Corded drill:Milwaukee 1/2 in. Magnum® Drill, 0-850 RPM
Corded Circular Saw:Milwaukee 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw with Quik-Lok® cord, Brake and Case
Cordless Drill: Bosch 18V Litheon™ Brute Tough™ Drill Driver
Jigsaw: Bosch Top Handle Jigsaw
Also, how long do you think these tools could last if properly cared for and used 2-3 times a week or something like that,Thanks!

de walt, bosch or makita?

I'm in the market for a cordless drill/driver. I would like to get one that is of superb quality and has as many applications as possible.

For example, I would like it to have a built-in level for both vertical and horizontal drilling. I wouldn't mind it having a light for use in dark places (e.g attic & basement). Also, I think an optional hammer feature may come in handy from time to time but isn't absolutely necessary.

I would prefer something well balanced with a comfortable grip. I'm not a professional contractor, but I am in the process of fixing up a house so the drill will see moderate use is the future.

I've read that when it comes to battery technology Lithium Ion is the way to go for a nice balance between power, weight, and longevity - or holding charge. I think an 18v Lithium Ion would be nice but am not dead set against considering something else - perhaps 14.4v.

I've looked at Makita, Milwaukee, and DeWalt. They all seem to make a nice product. Online searches say Panasonic makes a good one as well as Bosch. I'm torn. Any help from personal experience or even anecdotal is much appreciated.

Please offer your opinion regardless of price. Again, I desire a drill that has many of the above features and such a comprehensive drill/driver will have extreme value for me in the years to come whatever the price.

Thanks in advance.
