I have a 12 - 14.4v craftsman cordless drill battery charger. I would like to know what the white wire inside the charger would be used for. the red=positive, black= negitive, but i am not sure what i should connect it to? It is a quick charger. i think i should mention that. thank you
The battery cut out? does the stop the battery from chargeing? i know that the lower the amp charging the deeper the charge. that is that i am chooting for it is actually a 2.x amp output at least. its a quick charger. should i connect the white wire at all? and just guess when its charged? or would it go to the positive so show full charge?

Alright I went to OSH today and bought a craftsman drill that was normally like 100bucks and got it at 50... So now I'm wondering whether or not I got a good tool... The only tools I've ever used were Ryobi and Black and Decker and they didnt have any of either of those at the store... So... Whatcha think? Is Craftsman a good tool?
I bought the 3/8'' Drill/Driver with Worklight 15.6v with 24 torque settings...

I have a 19 volt Craftsman cordless drill which I have had for about 4 years. The original batteries needed replacing so I just bought a new Craftsman 19 volt battery for replacement. However, when I used the drill recently after about 15 minutes it started to emit a slight burning smell (no smoke) from the drill. I was not using the drill as often when the original batteries weakened, but when I did there was no smell. Could it be that the increased power from the new battery is causing it to burn off dust that could have settled inside the drill or is there a possible problem with the drill itself?

Charging cordless drill batteries
I have a new Craftsman 12.0 volt drill with no charger and a Ryobi 12.0 volt drill with a charger look alot like the same drill but not perfectly i thought that maybe the Craftsman was maybe made for Sears by Roioibe but they don't fit the same in the charger .. what would happen if I made a set of jumpers to hook the Craftsman 12.0 volt drill to the Ryobi 12.0 volt charger will it work or will it go BOOM ??

I want to buy my father a cordless powertool kit and my budget is between 5-150. The kit I have decided on has a cordless drill, circular saw, reciprocating saw, and flashlight (w/2 battery packs). I see names like Hitachi, Porter-Cable, Skil, Craftsman, and Ryobi, but I don't know which is the best. All fall within my price range. As for DeWalt and Mikita, I just don't have the money for those. So, can anyone tell me which brand they would choose, given my budget limts?

I am looking to buy a nice drill and bit set for my husband for Christmas... but have NO IDEA which brands are trustworthy when it comes to power tools.
Which would you recommend? I do not shop at Sears, so please don't say Craftsman.

Is any one else confused about all of the different power tools offered by craftsman? I have been looking to get a cordless drill and circular saw, and have been running into some confusing things. There is C3 drills, with diehard, w/out diehard, Lithium ion but two different kinds of them and then i found two drills that were exactly the same (same battery, same torque, same driver size) and they were priced almost 0 apart. I was wondering if there is a review website or somewhere where they compare them side by side. If you know of such a place please let me know.

I just bought a Craftsman C3 19.2V Lithiom Ion Drill, It is a compact design, The drill came in a box and being on sale today I could not pass it up, I have found however that I cannot find a hard plastic carry case for it. I even tried the craftsman parts and accessories. Does any one know of a set case this drill came in? Such as Drill and Light set? Thank you so much for any anwsers. There are alot of cases on ebay but only for the standard 19.2 volts not the lithium.
Model of my drill is 315.119100
