Which cordless screwdriver should I get?

Im in the market for a 12 volt cordless screwdriver lithium ion. Im debating in between the Milwaukee M12 screwdriver and the Dewalt 12 volt max. My dad has the Milwaukee M12 which we bought 3 years ago.Other than having the batteries replaced once under warranty tool is working great. I went down to my local home depot and held the Dewalt 12 volt max and its very comfortable and feels like it was made for my hand. I have four Dewalt tools over the years. Ive always been told its a comemricial Black N Decker. Im a more heavier Milwaukee user though. But in order to get the Milwaukee M12 to stand up like the Dewalt, i have to get the XC battery pack for another . I thought Id ask tool users which one they prefer and why Milwaukee M12 screwdriver or Dewalt 12 volt max screwdriver?

dewalt drill warranty?

Does anyone know how to tell (by serial #) if a dewalt cordless drill is out of warranty?

Can you tell me how it is in the long run?Is their promised lifetime warranty any good?Would you buy it again?

my old cordless craftsman drill?

craftsman has a lifetime warranty, any problems, bring it in to kmart/sears and they'll replace it.
I have an old 14.4v craftsman drill that finally kicked the bucket, but I don't think they make them any more. If I took that dead into kmart, would they upgrade me to a 19v or downgrade me to a 12v?

i would like a lifetime warranty, one with enough power to do most jobs, a decent price

What's a good toolset to buy for christmas gift?

I'm trying to pick out a tools combo for my bf. He planning to use them around the house, should prob. have drill, screwdriver, saw, sander and i don't know what else he'd need. I'm trying to get a good set that worth the price. Maybe lifetime warranty would be good too. I'm looking at couple different brand (makita, craftsman, dewalt, firestorm) and different set, but not sure which to pick. Any suggestion would be great. I never buy tools before so not really sure what to look for. Cordless maybe? Let me know what's a good value set tool combo?

Will Craftsman replace this?

My uncle just bought a new cordless screwdriver, and he gave me his old one. The reason he got the new one is because the old one, the 3 prongs that grip the bit 2 of them are broken. Will I be able to take this to sears and get it replaced or get parts to fix it? Its several years old, but don't all Craftsman products have a lifetime warranty? or even if they won't replace it where can i get parts to fix it?
did u need a receipt for it? cause this is probably 3 years old n i have no receipt
bart s lol good idea haha

1.The tires on a new compact car have a diameter of 2.0 ft and are warranted for 65,000 miles.
(a) Determine the angle (in radians) through which one of these tires will rotate during the warranty period.
(b) How many revolutions of the tire are equivalent to your answer in (a)?
2.A dentist's drill starts from rest. After 2.90 s of constant angular acceleration it turns at a rate of 2.20 104 rev/min.
(a) Find the drill's angular acceleration.
(b) Determine the angle (in radians) through which the drill rotates during this period.
3.(a) What is the tangential acceleration of a bug on the rim of a 10.0 in. diameter disk if the disk moves from rest to an angular speed of 75 revolutions per minute in 5.0 s?
(b) When the disk is at its final speed, what is the tangential velocity of the bug?
(c) One second after the bug starts from rest, what is its tangential acceleration?
What is its centripetal acceleration?
(d)What is its total acceleration?

Which Dremel rotary tool should I get?

I'm having trouble deciding which tool to get. Most have their obvious pros and cons, but there are some deciding factors that I need to find out. I'm building guitar effect pedals again, and am gonna make some mods to my amp, so I need something that can handle drilling wood, aluminum, and ABS, as well as sanding, buffing - all that standard stuff. I'm also willing to buy 'generic' brand (non-Dremel) stuff, but only under high recommendation.

My top choice, based on my budget, is the 7.2v cordless Multipro, but I've heard (from only ONE review) that the battery is only 20 mins or so and takes 3 hours to charge, and I don't want to have to buy an extra battery pack. I'd like to know if this is true or untrue. If this is untrue, then I think my problem is solved.

Second choice is the 100 Series or the Single-Speed Multipro. They both seem pretty similar. I'm worried that the cord won't be long enough or will get in the way, and that the single speed (35000 RPM) may be too much for some applications (ie. drilling ABS). Will the single-speed factor be a problem for my applications?

Third choice is the 300 series or the variable speed Multipro. Same cord problem as the single speed models, but I would also have to buy this one used. What is the reliability of these tools, and should I worry about not having a warranty if I buy used?

I originally purchased a Dewalt drill with Nicad batteries. However, after fooling around with the lighter lithium based cordless drill/drivers I've decided to go that route.

I'll be using this drill from everything from hanging blinds to decking. I'm not a contractor but more of a DIY weekend warrior. The one thing that I was concerned about was being able to drill into concrete. Seems like the drill/drivers that have the hammerdrill feature are on the heavy side and I was looking for something lighter. Am I better off just getting a seperate corded hammerdrill or Hilti drill for the very few times that I may need to drill into concrete?

So far I've had my eye on Makita's,Hitatchi,Ridgid to name a few. Can anyone offer some opinions?
Is anyone familiar with Ridgid? They came out with a new 18V lithium with a larger battery than the new compact Makita(black & white). Ridgid offers a lifetime warranty(even on the batteries). I'd like to hear from anyone who has used their tools. The 18V is around 4.5lbs.
